We did it! I got the keys on Wednesday last week and on Thursday Macon, one of Yellow’s phenomenal vendors and master craftsman extraordinaire, built us some solid walls! Yes folks…NO LATTICE IN THE NEW BUILDING! My plan, of course to keep costs down, was to simply use the extra Lattice-from-hell to finish the studded only walls. I figured that I could pick up some old doors and pallet wood and slowly fill them in. Macon said, “Now Sue, I hate lattice.” I knew I loved Macon! He told me full sheets of plywood are only $7.99…maybe cheaper. On Thursday, Macon finished the wall and I slapped on some paint!
Later that day, Jan moved into the first spot on the new side of the building!
It is starting to come together! Debbie stopped by yesterday, another precious Yellow vendor…and she rented the next 2 spaces! Filling fast my friends! Several other current dealers will be by today and tomorrow to see if they would like to expand. I still have one more room to paint and finish.
